Finance tools built for real people.

Kiwi Finance was built because the best financial tools were locked behind expensive advisors or buried in spreadsheets. We think everyone deserves deep, automated insight into their own money.

Our Story

Kiwi Finance started as a personal project to answer a simple question: where does my money actually go? Most apps give you a surface-level view. We wanted something deeper — automatic syncing, real data exports, and the ability to build your own analysis on top of your own financial data.

We're a small team of engineers and finance nerds who believe that financial transparency shouldn't require a financial advisor. If you can connect a bank account, you should be able to understand your entire financial picture.

Our Vision

We believe financial literacy and financial automation should be accessible to everyone — not just people who can afford a wealth manager.

🔓
Radical Transparency
Your financial data belongs to you. We give you full access to export, analyze, and own every transaction and account record.
Automation First
Manual data entry is the enemy of good financial habits. Everything in Kiwi Finance is designed to run automatically so you can focus on decisions, not data.
🌍
Built for Everyone
Whether you're tracking your first budget or building a custom analytics pipeline on top of your data — Kiwi Finance scales with your ambition.
🔒
Security by Default
We use Plaid's bank-grade security for all connections. We never store your banking credentials — only the access tokens Plaid provides.
How It Works

A simple, powerful pipeline from your bank to your dashboard — and beyond.

1
Connect your bank via Plaid
Use Plaid Link to securely connect any US bank account. Your credentials never touch our servers — Plaid handles authentication and returns a secure access token.
2
Transactions sync automatically
Kiwi Finance uses Plaid's incremental sync API to pull new, modified, and removed transactions daily. A cursor tracks exactly where you left off so nothing is missed or duplicated.
3
Data lands in your local database
All accounts and transactions are stored in a local SQLite database. You own the data. You can query it directly, export it, or build on top of it however you like.
4
Visualize with the dashboard
The built-in dashboard shows spending by day, merchant, and amount bucket. Filter by date range, toggle pending transactions, and drill into exactly what you want to see.
5
Export to S3 for deeper analysis
One click exports your accounts and transactions to Amazon S3 as timestamped CSV files. From there, you can run Athena queries, build Redshift tables, or feed any analytics tool you choose.
